My name is Natalie Mitchell and I'm glad you're here.
Although I graduated from UC Santa Barbara as a pre-law major, worked in film and then in television in marketing and advertising - I've always been most passionate about running. They say if you love something enough, you'll find a way to make a living at it and that is what I did.
I co-host the Suite Run Podcast with my partner and husband Jerold. Jerold and I started Suite Run in August 2018 as a way to give traveling runners a scenic, safe and accessible (3 or 5 mile) running route that starts from their hotel door. When Covid stopped the world it it's tracks, we decided to launch the Suite Run Podcast in November of 2020. We chat with professional and recreational runners about their love of running and travel (specifically their recommendations of the best places to run in their hometown.)
I'm a fifteen time marathoner with a 3:05 PR and forever working to get faster...it's a work in progress.
I am a running coach. I have an online business, where I coach busy adult runners to become the best version of themselves as an athlete. I also coach high school cross country and track, which brings a lot of joy and fulfillment to my life, helping young runners achieve their goals.
I'm an enthusiastic race announcer/emcee. I am the proud race announcer for the large and prestigious Los Angeles Marathon and that is a dream job. Really and truly. I still pinch myself that I have the opportunity to make runners feel special all day long as a job.
Rose Bowl Half Marathon, Long Beach Marathon, Surf City Ten, Santa Monica Classic - those races and more are on my resume as well.
What else... I have written many articles for Women's Running Magazine and I enjoy partnering with brands that align with my training to run faster and train to be at my best.
I also had the honor of being on the cover of Runner's World Magazine in May of 2021. I'm proud of that, because I was able to shine a light on what it means to run your whole life.
My three kids are my world. I love being their mom - they have watched me do this running thing since they were born.
