I started running with my parents at the age of seven in a local park and trails near our home in Ohio and haven't stopped. My Dad was a huge influence in my running, as he would run 14 miles to and from work several times a week and I loved hearing about his adventures along the way. He taught me that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve anything.
I ran cross country and track in high school and college and truly loved the competitive side of running along with the incredible way it made me feel.
After college, I started running marathons and triathlons and realized that my most successful running days were straight in front of me - if I have the courage to dream big.
Eleven marathons later (+ countless half marathons, 5ks and 10ks.), I am solidly carving my way each day to become a better, faster runner.
I am Mom to three young kiddos (ages 6, 8 and 12) and married to my best friend. We have a crazy busy life in Southern California filled with joy, travel, adventure and every day life.
Join me as I put it all together: Mom, marathoner, writer, small business owner, running coach, and fitness enthusiast.

Jerold and I started Suite Run in August 2018 as a way to give traveling runners a scenic, safe and accessible (3 or 5 mile) running route that starts from their hotel door. We also publish a Suite Run newsletter that is all things running, travel, current events, interviews with fantastic people and more. We'd love to have you join us! You can subscribe HERE.
After 30 years of running experience, I've decided to share my knowledge and love for the sport, by guiding others on their personal journey. Interested in working with a running coach? I'd love to help you and I'm currently taking new clients. You can contact me via e-mail: Natalie@natrunsfar.com for more information.
I have written a lot for Women's Running Magazine. It gives me a lot of joy to write about the sport of running... you can find it all HERE.
Running happy... yep. All the time (even the times I don't want to step out the door, I come back feeling better). Honored to be an ambassador for Brooks Running.
I love hearing from readers!
