Merry Christmas Eve!!

The excitement is contagious.
My kids can hardly contain themselves!
Christmas is almost here and we woke up early this morning to start tracking Santa. He is currently in the Middle East as I write this :)

I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.

Here are some moments from our day yesterday! Every year we make Christmas cookies with our wonderful friends. My friend Julie is a dear friend to me - and yes we met through running (!), but we have had 25 years of beautiful friendship. I am so happy that our kids love each other.

Working hard!

Beautiful work!!

I had a hard workout yesterday. I struggled. A lot. I just couldn't find my rhythm and my legs were super heavy, but I pushed through and made it work. My post from yesterday came in handy for sure.

The workout ➡ 2 mile warm up, then 4 x 1 mile (paces of 7:00-7:10 with .25 rest), 1 mile cool down. The tough reality was my legs felt like total lead and I was on the struggle bus today. 😛 But you know what? I didn't give up... 7:15, 7:18, 7:12, 7:18 Bummed that I didn't hit my paces, but I pulled out all the stops to will myself to run fast.
